Actor Dileep

Mayamohini is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Jose Thomas, starring Dileep, Lakshmi Rai, Biju Menon and Mythili in the lead roles. In this film Dileep is doing a female character. Dileep's character, due to certain unavoidable circumstances dresses up as Mayamohini, a Mumbai girl. He continues to be Maya, with whom Biju Menon falls in love with without understanding her real identity.


Jose Thomas's Mayamohini, which will see Dileep donning the role of a woman, is all set to release on Saturday, April 7th. The film is being touted as Dileep's best film till date. Though we all know that Dileep has worked extremely hard on his looks and performance, it remains to be seen if the public will accept Dileep as Mayamohini!

It is a known fact that Dileep is capable of essaying myriad of roles. His brilliant performance as an innocent guy with feminine traits in Chanthupottu, starring Indrajith, Gopika, Biju Menon and Bhavana is still fresh in our minds. Dileep has worked even harder in Mayamohini to make sure he is convincing enough as a seductive woman. News that came from the sets of Mayamohini is that the talented actor is paying keen attention to every aspect of the character, be it the looks, the gestures or the acting.

The highlight of the film has to be the makeup on Dileep by Roshan. Apart from facial makeup, bindis, chappals and nail polish has all been keenly attended to.

Jithu Joseph, director of 'Mummy and Me' and 'Detective', had titled his new movie as ' My Boss'. Featuring Dileep and Mamtha in key roles, the movie will tell an interesting plot in the backdrop of I T industry.Dileep will appear as an young software engineer working in Mumbai while Mamtha will appear as his boss in the movie.Basically a different love story in the scripts of the director , the movie will be produced by East Coast Vijyayan in the banner of East Coast Communications.

Salimkumar, Saikumar, Lena, SureshKrishna and Valsala Menon are also part of the cast of this movie which will be shot at Mumbai and various locales in kerala. Cinematographed by Anil Nair , the movie will have music by Sejo. The same pair of Dileep and Mamtha will be seen together before this movie in Shyamaprasad's 'Arike' which will be on sets this month.

Janapriya Nayakan Dileep is planning to kick start the shoot of his new movie directed by Akku Akbar, this season itself. Titled as 'Ithano Karyam', the actor is said to be much impressed by the plot lines of this family comedy that he wants the movie to get released as his offering for Christmas or for early months of January.

Ithaano Karyam will start by the mid of September and the movie may well follow the league of Jayaram blockbuster Veruthe Oru Bharya, which was the biggest hit from the director.
